The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys is the only organization by, about and for bankruptcy attorney information services for the attorneys, and the public that may need a bankruptcy attorney. Services to members and debtors include representation in the legislature, amicus briefs, teaching seminars, document resource repository, member listserve, regular updates of membership and a members only professional services database.

Legislative
advocates for NACBA assist the bankruptcy attorney association board
deliver the message of consumers, debtors and bankruptcy attorneys in
regards to bankruptcy code and legislation issues. NACBA has spoken
for debtors and attorneys in Congress, to the Internal Revenue
Service, the U.S. Trustee Executive Office, and in front of the
commission for national bankruptcy review. NACBA also networks and
collaborates with persons and other organizations dedicated to
consumer rights and bankruptcy attorney issues.
The organization's annual convention is one of the top rated education
seminars for a bankruptcy attorney, with judges and other nationally
known speakers talking about updates on case laws, guidance and tips
on client representation and emerging national trends. A bankruptcy
attorney can also network with hundreds of peers at this professional
gathering.
The NACBA document resource center holds a repository of legal
bankruptcy attorney proceedings, and documents that include articles
to help bankruptcy attorneys with their own practices. More than 100
documents are held in the center. These include briefs, motions,
requests for discovery, demand letters and so forth, with new papers
added at least weekly and sometimes each day.
One of the best used features of NACBA is its listserve, where
bankruptcy attorney members can ask questions and get responses in
real time from colleagues, educators and other professional expert
members. Some of the nation's best consumer bankruptcy attorneys are
listserve members and frequent users.
